Interior window sills
It is recommended to install internal window sills at the stage of finishing the walls. If the situation requires the installation of the window sill before plastering, remember to properly protect the window sill. They can be easily damaged. Install the window sill about 10-20 cm above the radiator, which will ensure optimal air circulation in the interior. In order for the window sill to fulfill its task of distributing heat around the room, it should protrude slightly beyond the radiator. The exception to this rule is a distance of less than 10 cm. Its main task is to protect the window recess against damage. This type also has two functions: decorative and functional.

Window sills - general information
The window sill is an inseparable finishing element that cannot be omitted. All window sills we offer are suitable for all PVC systems (except for Monoblock windows - only internal window sills can be mounted to this system). Technical drawings of window sills can be found in the Technical Catalog.
A good solution is also the installation of a warm window sill or, in other words, a "thermosill", which is a variant of thermal insulation. It protects against the ingress of moisture into the interior of the building and loss of warm air. They ensure proper leveling of internal and external window sills and eliminate the risk of thermal bridges. Installation of a warm window sill consists in sticking the shaped piece to the window opening with the use of a wide range of foams.
SMART mounting system
SMART is a mounting system for steel and aluminum window sills that simplifies and speeds up the investment process. Thanks to this system, there is no need to measure the window opening, as the window sill is 1–1.5 cm narrower than the window width, and the cutting error tolerance is up to 2 cm. A window sill mounted in this way also has excellent drainage and sealing. In the SMART system, the window sill is not permanently attached to the building facade. If necessary, it can be removed without damaging the building facade.
